Portuguese and Spanish Truck Drivers’ Organize Protest Against The New Tolls

Published on

After mutual consultations, the national truckers’ organizations of Portugal and Spain have made the decision to band together to protest the establishment of tolls on five different roadways in Portugal. The Spanish truckers’ association Fenadismer issued a statement reported by the Spanish news agency EFE announcing that it would be working with the Portuguese association ANTP to protest the tolls recently instituted in A22, A23, A24, A25 and A29. Fenadismer and ANTP regard the new tolls as a step backwards from ongoing integration between EU nations and a stumbling block in the path of regional economic development.
