Background
Originally from Florida, I’ve had quite the journey, from navigating the scenic waters of Jacksonville Beach as a Dock Manager to the sun-soaked shores of São Miguel, Portugal, where I now call home. My wife and I moved to Portugal a little while back, seeking a change of pace, and we couldn’t be happier. The stunning landscapes, rich culture, and welcoming people have made it the perfect place to grow roots. It’s been over a year since we took the leap, and between work and life here, it has been an incredible adventure.
My professional journey has taken me across industries, from hospitality and real estate to running my own project management business. Whether it was overseeing hotel operations in Key West or leading high-stakes projects in Portugal, I've thrived on the challenges of each role. No day is ever the same, and that is what keeps it exciting.
What do you like most about Portugal?
Portugal? Where do I begin? The Azores, specifically São Miguel, has an allure that is hard to describe. The weather is beyond ideal, and it feels like living in a nature lover's paradise. I am particularly drawn to the local culture, which blends tradition with a relaxed, laid-back vibe. The fresh seafood, farmer's markets, and unforgettable coastal scenery make every day feel like a vacation. One of my favorite pastimes here is just soaking in the peacefulness of the island after a day of work. And of course, the people are warm, inviting, and just as sunny as the weather.
Why do you like working for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Portugal Property?
I am passionate about helping people find their place in paradise, and working with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Portugal Property gives me the chance to do just that. The team here really feels like family. We are united by a shared goal: helping others discover the beauty and charm of living in Portugal. There is something deeply rewarding about watching clients settle into their new homes and knowing that you have been a part of that process. Plus, we genuinely enjoy working together, and you cannot beat that.
What do you like doing when you're not working?
When I am off the clock, you will usually find me exploring the natural beauty of São Miguel or enjoying the local culinary scene with my family. We love taking hikes, walking the beaches, and uncovering the hidden gems of the island. Lately, I have been diving into podcasting—true crime and storytelling podcasts are my go-to. And when I am not immersing myself in a good story, I love spending time with friends, embracing the slow-paced life here, and soaking in everything this incredible country has to offer.
