1st December – 7th January 2025 - Christmas and New Year's Eve - Madeira
Funchal’s naturally formed amphitheatre transforms it into a giant crib lit by the thousands of lights placed up and down the city’s main avenues. Enjoy a rich and extensive programme of cultural, ethnographic and artistic events.
The island is in festival mode everywhere, and to mark the transition to the New Year, the skies of Funchal are lit up with a gigantic firework display that lasts for a good ten minutes. The perfect place to welcome in 2025.
30th November – 1st January 2025 – Wonderland – Lisbon
Wonderland returns to the heart of the city, Eduardo VII Park and with it the huge Ferris wheel and the ecological ice rink. In the downtown area (Baixa), the Rossio Christmas Market is back until December 23, promising fun for the whole family, with traditional handicraft and gastronomy stalls. Attend one of the various Christmas concerts that return to the city with the “Natal em Lisboa” (Christmas in Lisbon) programme.
