Óbidos on the Silver Coast fills up with light, colour and fantasy - transforming into a dreamlike Christmas village setting where everyone can enjoy magical experiences, numerous attractions and amusements.

Father Christmas’ house, the crib, performances, games, ice rink, inflatables – just some of the things that Óbidos has in store for you, offering special moments ideal for the whole family.

1st December – 7th January 2025 - Christmas and New Year's Eve - Madeira

Funchal’s naturally formed amphitheatre transforms it into a giant crib lit by the thousands of lights placed up and down the city’s main avenues. Enjoy a rich and extensive programme of cultural, ethnographic and artistic events.

The island is in festival mode everywhere, and to mark the transition to the New Year, the skies of Funchal are lit up with a gigantic firework display that lasts for a good ten minutes. The perfect place to welcome in 2025.
