Background
I relocated to Portugal over 18 years ago with my family, drawn by my parents enduring love for the country since their first holiday in the Algarve over 27 years ago. Having moved at a young age, I was fortunate to attend both Portuguese and English schools, immersing myself deeply in Portuguese culture and gaining a rich understanding of the lifestyle and language. Following my education, I explored photography for several years before transitioning to a career in real estate - a field where I have now accumulated over 10 years of experience. In addition to my professional expertise, I have built an expansive property investment portfolio of my own in Portugal, which has further deepened my understanding of the local market and the opportunities it offers.
What do you like most about Portugal?
The question, “What do I like most about Portugal?” is one I’m asked frequently, my answer often evolves because there’s so much to appreciate. To begin, the Portuguese cuisine and their incredible hospitality are unrivalled - people here go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Another undeniable highlight is the 300 days of sunshine each year, which makes Portugal a haven for those who cherish good weather. Walking through Lisbon, you can hear the strains of a saxophone drifting down from a balcony and feel transported to another era, as though you’re in the 1920s. However, my personal favourite aspect of Portugal is its duality: within a five-minute drive, you can escape the bustle of a lively town and find yourself surrounded by serene landscapes, hidden lakes, or even deserted castles.
Why do you like working for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Portugal Property?
Working for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Portugal Property feels less like a job and more like being part of a family. The team’s dedication to client satisfaction is unmatched, with everyone giving 110% to help families find their dream home. It’s incredibly rewarding to play a role in making people’s aspirations a reality. While the work is demanding, the sense of accomplishment and shared purpose among colleagues makes it both fulfilling and enjoyable.
What do you like to do when you are not working?
The Algarve offers an abundance of activities, but for me, nothing compares to a long horseback ride along the beach or through the mountains. The beaches here are spectacular year-round; even in winter, you might find yourself sharing the shoreline with just a handful of others. Portugal’s diverse offerings ensure there’s always something new to explore - whether it’s a hidden lake, a historic castle, or a centuries-old monument. In this vibrant and culturally rich country, there’s no shortage of ways to spend your time outside of work.
