Background

Born and bred on the Isle of Dogs in East London but people now know it as Canary Wharf—I’m a true-blue Cockney at heart! A few years back, after our son was born, we packed up and traded the hustle and bustle of London for the sun-soaked shores of Portugal. We've been living the dream here for 9 years now, and our son’s not just growing up in a stunning country, he’s also mastered Portuguese—way better than me!

My career? It's been a whirlwind! From Advertising and Marketing to Events and Sales, I've pretty much done it all. No two days were ever the same, which kept things exciting, and the social side? Well, let's just say there were plenty of fun times!

What do you like most about Portugal?

Well, the weather is a huge perk—especially coming from the UK! Portugal is absolutely gorgeous, and the people are as warm as the sun. I’m obsessed with the markets here; shopping for fresh produce is a treat in itself, especially when you can sample as you go. Then it’s back home for sunset BBQs, paired with the finest Portuguese wines. Oh, and the beaches? They’re breath taking all year-round, and I’m lucky enough to call them my local hangout. And of course, there's shopping—my all-time favourite pastime!

Why do you like working for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Portugal Property?

Okay, this might sound cheesy, but we really are like one big family here. The bosses even bring in ice cream on tough days—how cool is that? I love being part of something so special, helping people start their new lives in this beautiful country. Seeing them settle in and thrive is what makes this job so rewarding.

What do you like doing when you're not working?

When I’m not busy helping people find their dream homes, you’ll find me strolling along the beach with my boxer dog, Buster. He’s got endless energy, and our walks always end with a well-deserved cold beer (for me, not Buster!). I’ve recently gotten into podcasts—true stories and true crime are my jam. And of course, I love catching up with friends at the local pub, working on my Portuguese over a few more beers. Cheers to that!
